Start Your Upgrade Plan
This is the best place to begin if you’re unsure where to start. Answer these questions in order to clarify your needs and plan your electrical upgrade.
Think about these questions in order
1. Current battery setup: What type of batteries do you currently have, and how old are they?
2. Charging sources: How do you currently charge your batteries (alternator, solar, shore power, generator)?
3. Do you want lithium? Are you interested in upgrading to lithium batteries for longer life and faster charging?
4. Do you want solar? Are you interested in adding solar panels to reduce reliance on alternator or shore power?
5. Need AC power away from shore? Do you need to run AC appliances (microwave, outlets) when not connected to shore power?
6. Main goal: What is your primary motivation for upgrading (longer battery life, more power, less maintenance, etc.)?
